Training at Barton Sub-Aqua Club

Training

Training is done by the Clubs Instructors on a voluntary basis, with necessary equipment provided by the club for the completion of training up to the Elementary Diver level.

Training within the club is possible from Snorkeler all the way up to Dive Supervisor.
The evening sessions may be altered to facilitate Lecture Programs.

Additional Regional or Nationally run courses are also available. If there is any training which we do not offer internally, just let us know and we will get it for you! With the club being in the Yorkshire and Humber (Y&H) region. The pool and a local facility called Eight Acres is used for the initial open water training,  with trips away being organised for trainee divers if enough interest is expressed.

Children and training: SCUBA starts at 14yrs; snorkelling any time, but ideally between
10-14years.


Try dives are available at £7.50 for an hour pool session with an instructor.

For specific details of available training courses please drop down on club night.  Club night is held on Tuesdays from 8pm - 9pm at Brigg Pool and then at the Yarbrough Hunt from 9pm onwards.
